We were thrilled with our stay at La Cabriere Country House. The room we stayed in had a small terrace with stunning views of the mountains and the beautiful garden and pool. The breakfast included both continental and hot options, and the offer of afternoon tea with cake was a lovely touch. The staff, especially Lisa and Lucy, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, within walking distance to town but still quiet. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

One small improvement would be to have larger towels and a bathmat in the bathroom.

Relaxing by the pool with a beautiful view. Attention to detail in the room. Non intrusive staff. Room alarm and security guard on site in evenings.
The only negative is that a picture on their website of 2 ponds with tables and chairs nearby, is not actually at La Cabriere. This was a bit misleading.

I had an excellent 3-day stay in this beautiful country house. The room was modern and contemporary, with a comfortable bed and access to an almost private pool. The breakfast was fabulous, with attention to detail and a great selection. The staff were wonderful, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The stunning views and tranquil setting made it a perfect place to relax.
The bath towels, although good quality, were on the small side.

We spent 3 nights there. The setting is so serene, yet close enough to town to be able to enjoy it, too. It's small and intimate with a chance to visit with other guests at breakfast and tea. The attention to detail of the decor was excellent. Since we were there in the May, winter had just begun and the only heating in the room was a fireplace. It made a cozy but cool atmosphere.

The welcome from the owners on arrival was the start of a very nice experience. The situation is near to the town but situated in a position to give the feeling of being in the countrysde. The town of Franschoek offers a real gourmet experience and that coupled with the homely feel of La Cabriere makes the visit a memorable one.

The manager was very helpful and the beds comfortable. The countryside around very attractive and the food in town excellent.
No telephone in the room. Electric wires and locked gates all around (horrible). Felt like a concentration camp. Sometimes couldn't find people to ask a question. Altogether rather expensive for what it was.
